Default A couple of blasters...

..from very long ago.
These were made out of watch parts, water pistols, and other odds and sods I had laying around at the time.
They were build around five years ago, if memory serves, and were sold to a collector in the U.S.

Thanks Darkview.
The bell jar is plastic and from a child's toy.
Thimble display domes are very similar, and cheap on eBay.

How did you get the translucent glowing effect on the "triangular" crystal?

At a guess, I'd say multi-coloured LED behind it in the brass tube.

Wonderfull work, Howard. Looks like a Steampunk Phaser.

Conrad's right, DrLight (thanks for the kind words, Conrad).
The light source is a multi-coloured led from a pen from a £1 shop.

thanks - I'm thinking of trying to get a similar effect by doing a barrel replacement on a Nerf Maverick.

Not at the moment, Darkview - I have a bench with a cut away lightsaber on it, a couple of 1999 designs on paper, and a steampunk clock idea (glass dome at the ready) to start.
I've spent the winter writing and rendering new art.
I hope to get working on physical stuff as soon as the daylight improves when spring finally arrives, and will post anything worthwhile...

Cheers!

That sounds busy enough to me... I did ticker with the idea of making my flux coolant reactor in the bell jar - a clock at one piont...
