You mean this?

10.jpg

A stock Airfix Eagle kit CSO'ed into a background.

Don't persecute them too much - it looks as though they didn't have much of a budget.

I always thought if was a fellow named Popov. In the Soviet equivalent of the Encyclopedia Brittanica his(or her name)stands for a number of invents and discoveries. They even thought to put this surname to a spaceship of them.Where it will he or she be now?.

I was delighted to read of a re-imagining of the Space: 1999 series, but share the fears expressed by many here... I have no idea how far along (...or whether it is still ongoing) this new sci-fi series project is but its breathed fresh impetus into the series, and that can only be positive, surely...

Does anyone know how things are going, seeing as I no longer read the likes of Starburst, SFX, Dreamwatch or Cult Times!

I just don't see why there are 49,000 fan amde trek episodes, but no Space 1999.

Even a parody would be nice...

With all the sub-standard rubbish currently being crafted (and re-crafted) in Hollywood, Space: 1999 surely yells of a quality sci-fi, with virtually unlimited story options...

You don't think they'd turn it into soap-opera tinged monster-of-the-week show? It's happened once already...

I think SteveDix is right.Look at the remake of Total Recall they have made,it mades you yearn even the wooden roleplaying of Swazenaegger!.The Americans are specialists in killing their own mythical movies. So,what impedes them doing the same with the works of others?.

I am excited about the show being redone again, as I myself have thought it would be nice to at least see it done as a movie, but will admit I am not thrilled of the new Eagle design. it would be fine as some added style but the original design can still stand on it's own today with no change needed. and would like to see the old eagles back.
