Default Re: SPACE1999.NET

Firstly, if this is posted in the wrong section, I apologise and ask that the mods be kind enough to move it to the relevant forum.

A site that I use daily for reference seems to have completely disappeared!!!

http://www.space1999.net/catacombs/

Does anyone else here use that site at all? All the HD screen caps etc are invaluable for the interior of my eagle build and I was wondering if maybe it had moved or if anyone had any information at all...

Thanks in advance, guys
Darren

The server has moved a few times, but it's now in New York.
Apparently it was a little windy there recently, and they lost their power.

I'm sure it will be back when they have power.

Thank you for that info, Martin.

If I had known they were in New York, I would have guessed the rest, so thanks for putting me right!

It's not working again. Does anybody know what's up with the site?

I've been trying to access the site for a couple of days - no luck. I think it's gone kaput.

You all know that it's not just The Catacombs that's affected, right? All space1999.net sites are down. I hope that they all come back once this is sorted! (Thanks, martin, for whatever you're doing to bring back yours, by the way... in my opinion, it is the best of the best!)

They are moving to a new server and will be back soon, at least thats what Martin has been saying, and Cr is right, it is the best of the best source for Space 1999 thats out there. Everything i know about how the show was made i learned from that site, from the cast and crew to everything you ever wanted to know about the original miniatures, not to mention all the fantastic eagle links. I found this forum from that site and the eagle links introduced me to great eagle builders like E James Small and David Sisson and of course Mr 1999 modelmaker himself Martin Bower. His 44 inch eagle scratch build of Brian Johnson's Brilliant design set the standard and next to Jim Murphy was the first such replica i saw before i found the ones feature here. So hope your back up soon and thanks for all the great memories Martin!
