Default HD Screencaps of End Titles

I have always been mesmerized by the end title images from Series 1, showing various planets, with the credits, as well as an Eagle or two moving through the void in green or some other cosmic light.

Has anyone seen any high definition (1920x1080) screencaps of these? With the Catacombs down, I am at a loss.

Do you mean the freeze frame at the end of the episode in which "Produced By Gerry and Sylvia Anderson" appear?

The closing credits just show various shots of space.

Actually, all the planet shots, not the text-only title card you refer to.

My guess is that we'll have to wait (once again) for space1999.net to re-appear. To my knowledge, The Catacombs had the only hi-def pics online.

As an aside, when I was a kid, I always thought that the comet during those closing credit space scenes was travelling backwards. S99 actually inspired me to study real astronomy, because I wanted to know about the real universe... I came to find out that comet tails can precede the comet in its path around the sun, as the particles are 'blown' ahead of the comet in its path.

These are not hi-def but here are some i pulled off the dvds i have. I use my photoshop to remove the text. I agree that the first season credits were great. I loved the music too.

Here you go, these are much better. I just pulled them off of the catacombs which is back up and running. Hope you enjoy and thanks Martin for your efforts in getting space 1999.net back up.
