Default June 1: Of The Doctor and Birthdays...

...my own (Thank You, for the e-mail greetings!) , and the good Doctor - whosoever he will next be. Did anyone out there see this coming?

While I didn't get the chance to see too many of Matt Smith's episodes, I do remember catching one of his Proms appearances shown on BBC America. Liked what I saw; thought, he's gonna fit right in! And so he has. Here's hoping Doctor Number Twelve will be as lucky!

Here's the link to today's announcement:

Default ...and a Very Important House Call!

Well, here we are again, and sounds like come this Sunday morning - Cali time (if I've reckoned the time difference OK) - your brand-new Doctor will be just arriving over there.

Any sort of consensus going, re who you'd like to see take on this iconic role?

Richard E. Grant, so soon after playing the Great Intelligence? I'd like to see him in the role, but I don't think they will go for him for the above reasons.

I've heard Sam Troughton, grandson of Patrick- not sure about it though.

I'm going to the live show tonight, so I'll know approximately four seconds before everyone at home!

Default BREAKING:

...I have only just glimpsed on BBC News website, but to my British friends must go the honor of the announcing!

While all of us around the world have come to know the good Doctor over these many years - you in Britain knew him first...

And so, if you will...?

Well, it's all over the web, but as a teaser - he starred in the British series 'In the thick of it' and more recently as a W.H.O. Doctor in World War Z.
Fancy that.

Looking forward to this new Doctor. He just looks right for the role.

Hoping he gets some good scripts.
