I remember that sitcom, its set in a hospital ward IIRC, was it James Bolam who starred, and Ricard Wilson (a pre-old and Grumpy Victor Meldrew) as the doctor.

That's the one - 'Only When I Laugh'. I never understood why these healthy-looking guys had to stay in hospital so long, though.

I remember it all right (in fact one of the digital channels repeated some of the episodes recently). I quite liked it - mainly because of the actors.

Whatever happened to Christopher Strauli though?

Christopher Strauli came to public attention through the 'Raffles' TV series starring Space 1999's (and Colditz's) own Anthony Valentine. I wonder if the less than flattering Gupta character is the reason it's not been repeated on terrestrial. I'm amazed that so many episodes could be written about three guys in hospital.

I'm suprised he hasn't turned up in a comic book cross over thingy as is so popular these days...

Aliens Vs Balor
Balor Vs Predator

or my personal favourite, Freddy Vs Balor

etc. etc.

Quick! Get on the phone to Dark Horse...

I loved the look on Balor's face, when Koenig confronts him in his (Koenig's) office. When Balor turns and admits the truth to Koenig (yes, Koenig, you're exactly right). The wide eyed look of glee as he fully confesses that Koenig is right about what he has done. That is when you really can tell, this guy is NUTS!

I too wonder what became of Balor once he was sucked out into space. Did he die? If not, what happens when some ship happens upon him and brings him aboard (like what happened with Data's psycho brother, Lore, on TNG) ? Will Balor have his fun with the poor crew of said ship.

I wonder if Balor would then use same ship to track down Alpha again. I'm sure he'd love to match wits with Koenig again.

Balor was one of the scariest aliens to roam the halls of Alpha.

There's a really interesting and enjoyable take on the whole post-EoE Balor scenario in the novel "Resurrection" from Powys Media.

Well if you play Black Sun after End of eternity then maybe Balor's comatose body was warped into little pieces outside of the protection of the Bergman forcefield!
It's possible...

Balor is alive and well living in Barnes, London, and so does Julian Glover and his wife Isla Blair. I see Balor paying a visit to the bookies a few times a week for a flutter.

Indeed. For anyone who has read the book 3001 (thee 4th in the series by Arthur C Clarke) Balor would be floating around in space suffocating then coming back etc for a loong time.
If he did some sort of motion while he was alive to push himself back towards his asteroid he might get back there eventually...
