Default Info Please: Scott Carpenter

Picked up on news report last night (Thurs) that veteran Mercury astronaut Scott Carpenter has been taken ill.

(He and John Glenn are the last two of that storied seven, bless them, who are still with us...)

Have this from only one source, though (NBC News online); and the old research wonk in me says better to have at least two...

Between all of us here, we spread a pretty wide net - is anyone else hearing about this, and if so from where? Thanks...

Default Still Sad to Hear...

Thank you much, Captain; I'd hoped somebody else out there might've heard something!

Here's link to Thurs night's story:

(Also looked up his Wikipedia page, on the chance update might be found there; was amused to read that Scott Tracy was named for him! There's fame for you...!)

Here's hoping we will all soon be hearing positive word of his recovery - Godspeed to you too, sir!
