Default Libra 1978 movie

Don't know if anyone on ETF has seen this before, but I found this on the i09 website: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=40V5gB3R4jI

The space station model uses a few recognisable model kit parts, not the least of which is from the Airfix/MPC version of our favorite spacecraft! Apart from the familiar parts, the space station looks uncannily similar to Babylon 5.

More info about the film can be found here: http://blogs.smithsonianmag.com/pale...-space-colony/

Very rough looking finish though, innit?

The Model work is rather typical for most low/med budget movies in the seventies. Recognizable kit parts, heavy white spray paint, etc...
This film, "The Shape of Things to Come" (1979), while it does not have Eagle parts, does have something else from 1999:

When Barry Morse left Space 1999 saying "..if it's all the same to you I'd like to go and play with the grown-ups for a while", surely he didn't mean this movie?

Looks like at this point he was willing to play with anyone with his fee available.

From what I've read about Libra and that clip, the film sounds very similar to Elysium which was released earlier this year - featuring Jodie Foster (cast against type) playing a really evil woman administrator/president of the colony.
