Hi, I used the mercury capsule from the 'Everything is go' kit. I did alter it by putting a tiny plastic hemisphere in place of the capsule's nose though.

I used the Everything is Go capsule too, but added a small dome from the Gemini kit.

Just finding this thread after thinking about also making a Mole :-)
Wonderful build here and of great help. Need to order up a Tractor kit first!

Can I ask what the green fence looking pieces come from and where you got the port holes.

Thanks. I've sent you a pm. Can't recall the makers of the portholes, maybe someone here can?

Lee, the fence pieces are from the Faller Cafe - as are the steps/grills at the back, the oval piece and the square section, the small rectangle (under the step, with a hole in it) and the large round back piece.

In a nutshell, a must have kit for the Mole!

Here's a couple on ebay (you may spot some of the parts):http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2alte-Fall...#ht_376wt_1190

Port holes are still available (old Ripmax ones). I used brass ones from my local model shop, which will do just fine.
