The Madelman figures are great, wish they would re-issue the 2001 astronaut figure again. I was lucky enough to get one but I would love to have more. Tom Hanks has been in talks with Mattel for a MMM movie, I hope it comes to fruition. Wouldnt that be something to see MMM toys again?

Maddelman's 2001 helmet and packs actually fit the Matt Mason astronauts. The helmet is a bit over-sized - (I think the neck would present better if it were shaved down) but it still looks pretty cool.

Chris! That collection of yours is just lovely! The carded versions and the loose ones too just beautiful. You really do seem to have all the best toys. The MMM movie has been discussed here before and I would love to think it may happen but have doubts we'll ever see one. That Madelman helmet and pack combo actually works very well and I am sure that kids in Spain in the early 1970s or late 1960s probably did just that! Nice to see.

nice figures, I dont know anything about them

was suprised to see one in Joe90. when where these originally released?

was wondering if this figure in Thunderbirds could have been one, although I do doubt it, I think it would have been specially made.

As Chris rightly says MAJOR MATT MASON hit US stores late '66 and certainly weren't available here in time to be used in THUNDERBIRDS. Also I think you've mis-read the post I made in the old thread. It is a TOMMY GUNN or ACTION MAN in JOE 90 and not a Major Matt.

Seeing these pics has really taken me back 40 years!
God I loved that Space station. There was a crawler that you could put on its side and lock into the top and use as a crane.
Also has some blue gerbil ball type things that it dragged along...aahh it's all comming back.

Default Matt Mason

Matt Mason was a bit before my time but I had the purple alien with the illuminated head and a Repro-Space Glider Toy (Project sword) in Bright Orange Plastic, The Sled thing reminds me a little of the Hover Bikes from Roberta Leigh's "Space Patrol". and I'm pretty sure there was a GI JOE Space Capsule in an episode of UFO.

The Starcom Toys of the 90's Remind me a little of the Matt Mason Stuff!

So ive sourced a damaged doug Davis missing the lower right leg. I intend to make a female astronaut and am considering an artificial leg, perhaps a lunar accident. Anyone have thoughts?

A great acquisition, dazzo. Your MMM looks to be in perfect shape. Unfortunately I never had this jet pack. You can find a MMM group on Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/228913100494820/
There certainly are some nice chaps who could help. Good luck with that restoration.
