I worked for a couple of years in Western Samoa (very cool place) and the Samoans cool the green banana and make fantastic dishes with it, so no ripening necessary (but you do have to cook it). In this case I doubt it would help.

Now, with Tony42's Samoan cuisine notes, the 'Bananabird' thing really has FunPod potential. (I visualise a cook prepping a bunch of bananas, all of which are actually IR TB2's, of course.)

JD, you won`t be laughing when PE pantograph it up to 2ft long and flog it for 500 a throw. Remember, the original did not have a removable pod!

I think its only the recent movie version that has front and rear exits... split pod... just like the cow's stomach funnily enough
