Yes, I liked that link. It looks like Paul used a yellow box as a table in "The Last Sunset".

Yes, try it that way as you stated with freq.

the conveyor:

We can drop the cans. You can see the tops. We can drop it to the side and have the conveyor pick it up and release at the other end. When stored the can will appear on top.

Not sure about the length. from here:

it looks like there are 4 cans on it.

So it looks like if I place 4 cans spaced out start from the edge of the pad it should end at where the WP is.

gattispilot, excellent image and I like the analysis. Yes, four canister barrels on conveyor belt between the eagle cargo pallet edge to the doorway of the WP. Your small photo shows the 4 barrels.

And it looks like the distance of 3 barrels between the edge of the pad and the wp end. and the whole conveyor is 4 barrels long with spacing.

So if I place it just off the skid in front of the conveyor then it will pick it off and drop it off to the side next to the WP

I guess the eagle has to hover since the conveyor extends and the front pod legs would hit it.

Default An Idea - Hopefully

There was a release earlier this year, or late last year for an online game of Star Trek: Online. Would it be possible to do that with this and those on this web site. Design moonbase Alpha, with everyone having their own job, training in other jobs (like flying the eagles ). Perhaps having quarters for everyone. Perhaps monthly dues to reimburse the designer and those that it will take to run it (I'm sure). Maybe someone has already suggested this or thought of it and it has been shot down. I've looked and cannot find any other references to it. Just my 2 cents worth.

on another website Some one said:
Wow I was surfing the web for files to use making a Space 1999 Game and found Orbiter. I have been a fan of the show since I was 6 when it first came to the US and have many collectibles I gathered over the years. My favorite being the Mattel Eagle Playset still complete, only changes were reprinted decals a few years ago. I have been using Poser 6 and 7 as well as Terragen and 3ds MAX to make a few ships and the basic items trying to get as close to the show as possible for the game. I will be using FPS Creator to render my game once I have everything needed and of course a general idea for the game (what to actually DO besides walk around Moonbase Alpha or flying an Eagle while drooling lol!) Any concepts out there that would like to bump heads please let me know, I am watching the entire series on DVD (again) to get ideas for a game. Great forum and site here I am glad I found it, I was beginning to think people were forgetting the show. Anything you might also need if I have it let me know and ill be glad to share, I'm not making my game for a profit but making it to keep the spirit of Space 1999 alive!

But not sure of anything else.

Actually in Orbiter you'll be able to all that. Except for the living quarters.

Ok This is how you transfer cans from the eagle to the WP
Eagle landed. You can see the cans underneath the wp. Depot in the background

Unload off Eagle

pick up on conveyor

drop off for WP to pick up

Cans in 2 layers in receiving well

B7 looks good. I think it is white lettering and just looks off-white yellow:

I know, I think they were placed that way for the camera to film, because you are right if it made sense they would be facing out to keep trespassers away.

Gattispilot and I released it a few years ago. It is available as part of the Moonbase Alpha packages for Orbiter http://orbit.medphys.ucl.ac.uk at Orbit Hangar http://www.orbithangar.com/index.php . There are several packages that recreate the Moonbase Alpha environment. Be sure to read the documentation when you install the packages!
