Yes Mike, it fits me ok.
I can't remember how much it was,it was some time ago now.I was going to re-spray it red at one time but decided to leave it as it is.

here you go

this one was made by me but I had the casting of the red part to start with - I made it bigger using plastazote and filler

as you can see the finish isn't amazing and one day I may strip it and re-finish it

That's very neat! Thanks very much for sharing, now I've got a really good idea what it should look like.

no worries - I really exaggerated the lower lip at the back as I wanted it to look as stroppy as possible

I think the cap design is (very) loosely based on a roman centurion helmet

I think the crazy shape may be defeating my plans. I'm trying to mock it in cardboard before fabbing it in EVA foam, but it looks like the entire 'cylinder' of the cap is concave. Is that right?

And another question just popped into my head. Does anyone have any opinions on how accurate the JR 21 cap is? Is worth using as a reference?

The JR21 hat is quite accurate -------------it's just too small for an adult head! My son used to wear mine and it fitted him perfectly ---------------mind you he was 8 at the time!
