I said it was a different way. Don't people bother to read these threads anymore?

And is it though?

I stopped in at a paint shop and gave them the paint code for my car. An hour later I came back and he said he couldn't make it, because ford used the same code for 3 different colors. He needed the year and name.

Okay; I took the chip that stingray48442 to the local Canadian Tire and bought what looks like, to me @ least, a perfect match!

The paint is in the Dupli-Colour "Perfect Match" range of automotive paints and is called "Gold Ash Metallic"; I have posted 4 photos @: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v3...diver%20paint/

Hmmmm...I know this is an old thread but that "gold ash" seems to be way to much on the silver side of things. Just hold it up to different dvds (and blu ray if you got 'em) and its easy to see. I know lighting effects the color, but I dont think thats correct.
Maybe best trying that paint #.
If you mix = parts of what I said above and tweak it a little (and dirty the heck out of it) you should be in the ballpark.
I see that damn color in my sleep!
