Mines in Sydney Australia should hit my doorstep next week

Any suggestions for paint.

I typically use satin white spray paint for my eagles, but i broke my heel and cant walk for 3 months so i need to order something online.

Any suggestions for a brand i can get online is welcome

My first two arrived in Adelaide, South Australia this morning, well worth the cost of the USPS Priority postage.
Yet to open the box, looking forward to it though!

Cheers

Mine arrived yesterday, its pretty darn nice, and the exact same size as the 1979 starcraft blueprints. what a monster

Neither airfix of humbrol make a spray can of satin white, i hate hand painting satin white.
So if anyone knows a good brand of satin white spray paint be sure to post or drop me a PM

Ive started on some of the smaller sub assemblys engine bells etc.

Still deciding on a lighting kit. Its just one globe and a battery pack. Given the size of the beak i reckon i could just canabalise one of these LED flexy reading lights and install it in the beak itself

Unusual build for me, doing it in bed since my shattered heel bone has me in bed as per doctors orders. And i got reading glasses for the first time 6 months ago (ill be 50 this year) so im using them as well.

Spine and cages are a bit difficult, but then it wouldnt be an eagle build if you didnt have hassles with the spine and cages lol

Hello Mike, nice that your copy arrived.
About the paint colour, the Ford Diamond white is the closest to the original model. Allegedly you can even use the latest colour although the tone changed over the years.
You can find the code on this website. http://paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorcod...iamond%20White

Satin finish is easy to obtain by buying a satin varnish from Tamiya, Vallejo or any other brand.
have fun with the build and I would like to see the photo's of your WIP.

My two eagles arrived downunder on the 21st of this month. Not too shabby, pre-ordered on the 3/1. in stock and then dispatched on the 9th and here by the 21st, Cost me $163.85 each including postage and a terrible US to AU exchange rate but I think that will still be a bargain compared to what our own hobby shops will be charging. One for me and one for a mate - just to say thanks for all your help. He had no idea what kit is was initially - he thought it was a repop of the old 12" MPC eagle - not this brand new tooled beauty. He wants to do a joint build - so we're building them both at the same time... not a bad idea.
