http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y15...s/P1010511.jpg

yes.. i know you cant see much of the inside but i've cleared out the ports on the top of the pod and replaced it with clear sheet, so you can see a bit of it. I've also rebuilt the feet on the bottom of the pod

Now i have to start building the cages

arrrgghhhhhhh.... lol

Wow That's really beautiful work you've done on the S W models and the eagle's taking shape very nicely. We have a couple of other members who've been working on pod interiors as well.

The interiors only a basic resemblance as you wont be able to see much and i'm not opening up the doors (did we ever get to a solution as to how they open?)

ok, the plastic rod idea for the frames is turning out to be too flimsy and my local railway model shop is selling the right diameter brass rod dirt cheap, so plan no 2... solder the cages... perhaps i shudda just built a 23", it wudda been much easier lol

Very slowly at the moment. I have about 1/2 dozen projects on the go on my modelling table, plus my missus wanted me to finish off the garden pond, put in a fence and gate etc etc. Some of the projects are nearly completed so i'll have space soon for the soldering. (i might retire to my shed, i've just got a fridge and a telly put in there )

DS, Dude!

I'm doing everything you are doing except the pond but I am putting a water feature onto the sun-deck, so that's pretty close.

I've still got to re-equilibrate the workshop, so I'll set up the old TV when I do that and put the old bar-fridge in too.

My fence and gate application is before the Council for planning approval at the mo - we are 'working through' one parameter they're not completely satisfied with.

Model-wise, a large eagle is still on the drawing board, but I'm painting up a M/Falcon having stuffed in a bunch of fibre optics into the cockpit and turrets and a violet car neon into the engine, an 18" terminator and a 1:1 terminator skull, a Moonbase Alpha and I'm restoring a not-so-old ERTL eagle. I'm also getting in the parts to stuff a blu-ray laser into a StarTrek phaser (if you've seen the Kipkay video on youtube, don't do it this way - use a proper driver and you won't kill an expensive laser diode in 1 easy step ) The other isn't really a model; it's a mid-engined V8 convertible I've designed myself . Been working on that biatch for near on a decade now

Deerstalker...Good work with the Eagle build up. I've been checking out other's build to get ideas for my own. I have three MPC Eagles already built, but I'd like to make them more accurate.

Good question.. I'd like to know too, don't we all? I just belatedly ran through all his thread.

BTW Cool tumbleweed, PurpleAlphan!
(was your name inspired by Alpha Nuclear Techician Anton Zoref (actor Ian McShane) as transformed into purple-faced 'heat-absorbing' mode by the blue 'Force of Life' nimbus (I just watched 'Breakaway' and that 2nd episode last night, having found they are online!)

guess what, i'm still here lol. had a few life changing moments which stopped the modelling for a bit (emigrated to Australia). i got into figure modelling which took up most of my time, but i recently decided i needed something to do whilst waiting for the flesh paint to dry etc.

and so i'm back, from outer space ....... lol.

just finally getting round to spraying my Hawk (no FDW colour down here unfortunately) and will be carrying on with the Eagle build soon lol
