Default Airfix Kitstarter Programme - An Opportunity?

Dear all - just come across the Airfix 'Kit' Starter programme on the official Airfix website. This is an idea they have for modellers to vote on the resurrection of old Airfix molds (- as with the normal KickStarter, you commit to buying the item and if there's enough interest it may get produced).

The current posts include requests for the old Lyons Maid Fireball and Stingray kits, as well as the 1999 Hawk.

While it's currently a no-go for XL5 (no existing mold), there hasn't been any official statements on the other two.

SO - WHY DON'T WE ALL MAKE AS MUCH NOISE AS POSSIBLE ON THESE CURRENT POSTS (ON THE AIRFIX WEBSITE) AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS?????

We could also suggest that Airfix consider a proper Kickstarter campaign to produce new Gerry Anderson kits - something, I'm sure, we've all been dreaming / banging on about for the past few decades?!!!!!

Yes---Come on Guys, log in on the Airfix Kitstarter forum on Airfix's home page and vote for an Airfix Stingray re-issue! ----------Stingray looks like it could be an option depending on the number of replies that thread gets!

I registered specifically to vote for Stingray and XL5 - they dont seem to be popular enough to be chosen to vote for at the moment.
Please register and comment in the Kitstarter forum. The more comments, the greater the chance of it being put forward to the vote!

Tried to register in order to vote for Stingray and the 007 DB5 but couldn't get through. Not too impressed with the site...but will try again later. Was shocked that Stingray and the 007 cars weren't higher. Apparently the DB5 was reworked into a DB6. But if Round 2 can backdate AMT molds, so can Airfix!

Thanks all - the more noise we can create, the more chance there is of an Anderson kit being moved to the actual Kitstarter list.

Let's face it - it's got to be more popular than a model of birds...surely ? !!!

It's 'Kitstarter' by the way, that probably explains the difficulty in finding it ---------get voting all!
