Default Round2 to make a 44inch Eagle?

https://www.facebook.com/groups/space1999propsandships/

Post a message there if you would lay a deposit of 200 bucks for a 400 dollar model. They're looking for 5000 messages saying "yes".

This is the specific post that kicked it all off from Jamie Hood

https://www.facebook.com/groups/spac...71795449703816

He said:
"I'll tell you what, if you can get 5000 people to comment on this post (not total posts or shares or anything like that) but just one comment from 5000 unique individuals that say they would put up a $200 down payment right now towards a $400 44" Eagle kit, I would see that as cause enough to run a crowdfunding campaign to get that done. 2500 people saying they would take two won't count. We need to know the funnel is big because we know from experience some won't follow through. 5000 people. Will you accept this mission?"

Well, that was a short time for hope. Jamie from Round2 has just killed that project because it would infringe upon another licensee. But he did mention that more Space 1999 stuff is in the works.

Then again we are modellers on this site whereas this kit has brought in a huge number of non- or ex-modellers, which may be a good thing for the hobby overall. This is obviouslyi s aimed at supporting those people to get something that approaches the look we can achieve with our usual modelling techniques.
