Default Length of the Studio Superswift model?

Does anyone know the correct length of the studio model of the SuperSwift?

Depending on where you look drawings suggest anywhere from 56 inches to about 68" in length.

http://catacombs.space1999.net/main/models/wrefmg.html says the model is 160cm, roughly 63".

Starlog December 1979 says it's 65".

I believe that Gil Brumana did the restoration of the SuperSwift, but no measurements have been found regarding online postings of his work.

Which length is true?

Another question I have is the side details on the studio model that go down the length on either side of the top and bottom 'containers'. They look to be some sort of I-Beam, with trapezoidal segments in the middle. Other Plastruct pieces have been used on this model. Would it be that or perhaps a chassis from a transport trailer?

Hi Tazman

I believe the parts that you are describing are the beams from the Airfix (now Dapol) girder Bridge kit. if you buy those kits you should be able to estimate the length of the studio model by comparing photos to the kit parts.
