I'm seriously ashamed of what I've done and doing some more begging. Phil provided the wonderful sides for the gun

but my attempts at a barrel and sights just let it all down...

I waited 30 years just to mess it up..

So any kind soul got a spare barrel/sights that i could purchase?? Or can you point me in the direction of a lathe specialist so I can retro fit and be proud to display??

*Hangs head in shame*

Now you see that is fantastic!

And it just shows how inadequate my attempts are!

Would they be willing to turn me a barrel do you think?

I have this one spare if it is any good, complete with hole down the middle for a charge..

The sight I had an aluminium section grooved and then cup bit is a cut in half hollow bar and the sight itself I made from 2 hollow tubes with solid end pegs knocked in and laser but clear and orange ends.
I can see what I have left if you need a sight as well..

That looks absolutely amazing and ideal...I'd love to take up the offer - and of the sights if possible too??

I think with some careful dismantling, I can retro fit it nicely.

I need both too...are you going to make any more? I still haven't figured out a way to make the scope mount, and the original part isn't made anymore.

I can do, the scope mount I cheated and grooved a aluminium bar and cut a tube in half for the top part, then used long screws (like you use to screw the wall socket boxes together) to fasten the whole lot to the top aluminium bar of the gun. (screws go from inside up through the top square tube, through the sight base and cup and threaded into the main sight rod...

Well, just think about how much you want to charge and I'll pony up.

Will do, all the aluminium has arrived now to make them all, so next free rainy day I can see how long they take on the lathe and work out how many credits you need to send me....

I'm still amazed you can do work of this sort on that boat of yours...how you arrange to have a lathe in such limited space is beyond me.

Hi all, can anyone tell me what was used for the orange and white transparent pieces at the front and rear of the sight, please? Or suggest any suitable alternatives? Thanks in advance.

Well, I used the amber lens from a neon indicator light from an electronics store...don't know about the white one, there's a white one?
