Default My Second Eagle - Round2 22 inch Med Pod diarama in progress

Someone suggested I make a diarama type base for my second Eagle, so today I took the wooden top from an old side table, coated it with a mix of polyfilla, coffee granules and sugar for texture, and some black acrylic paint. I spread it across the suface of the board like a grey mix, then stippled the surface with a brush. Once dry I added some dark highlights with MIG powders and finally sealed it all in a clear coat. I scratchbuilt the stairwell from Plastruct parts. This is only ever the second diarama I have made and am really pleased with how its progressing. I plan for a moon buggy and an astronaut next

Beautiful model, love the detail. The open access panels are a great idea. I did a little of that on my 44" years ago but you went to town. The lighting effects are cool too.

Thanks very much guys, I also love the Eagle design and Round Two certainly did this model justice -it is open to so many kinds of Mods...I recommend.

Great build. Very realistic base. Are the lines in the "windows" denoting a solar panels?
