COOL! But what can we learn from Thunderbirds???
If it can stay up forever, put more than 30 minutes worth of radiation shielding in the thing.

Having now read it, with a concept design that isn't yet achievable. Will we have the fuel to fly it in 25years? Hmmm

In a similar vein, did anyone see the article in last weekend's papers entitled "Hotel Thunderbird 2"? It featured a design for a massive airship that would be an airborne hotel. Didn't mention if the New World Aircraft Corporation would be building it.

This idea seems to surface every 10-15 years. Remember the 'National AeroSpace Plane' aka 'Orient Express'?

As others have pointed out, it's just a concept. Rather a stretch to use the word 'designed' in the headline. 'A British firm claims to have designed....' No, they don't: they clearly state it's still at the concept stage. Bad journalism.

But yes, it is a cool-looking concept that sorta looks a bit like Fireflash!
