Ohhhhh, I'm now more excited than Mr Excited whos professor of excitedness at Oxford University!!!!!

Shamelessly stolen from Blackadder!!!! Apologies to Messrs Curtis/Elton and Atkinson

I've already got TB2 am really interested in TB3 and would probably get TB1 (even though I've rejected one already) just for completeness sake (complete sh1t you might say!)

So DX, are you saying (not that you can say of course *cough*) keep your money in the hope that some company may someday do these craft justice?

Or are you saying, keep your money because some company WILL do these craft justice.

Nudge! Nudge! Wink! Wink! Say No More!

I think what he is trying to say is in 6 months IR's TB1 will be £7.99 in TK Max.

Maybe My JEDI MIND TRICK (tm lucasarts ltd) Will work on DX-SFX... failing that I will demonstrate the full power of my battle station and destroy his home planet .... unless he gives us a little clue

That and your patience will allow the rest of us a chance to evac his planet before you test the full destructive power of your battle station on it.

Don't be too proud of this technological terror you've constructed. Its power is nothing compared to the power of the force (misquoted, but you get the drift)

Perhaps that's what IR needs, a bit of Sith Lightning.

I soooooooooo wish we had a Darth Vader emoticon, the dropping jaw and Darth Vader.

Master Replicas had some sort of defect with the Darth Vader Helmet/Mask they offered some time back, so they recalled the ones they had already made, provided some of the defective ones to be painted in some sort of art project, and tried again.

Given the response to their Thunderbirds models, maybe IR had decided to stop production/distribution, start from the beginning and try again. It will be expensive to do, but there is precedent for it. It may be the only thing to do if they want to stay in
business.

Icons Replicas went down this road in the late 1990s with their Star Wars models and lightsaber replicas - very expensive replicas that had defects that became very apparent one not long after you got them. Lightsabers would rust, X-Wing wings would sag, paint jobs peel off, etc. The word eventually got out, and once it did, the company didn't last long. Unobtainium had similar problems with their "Ultimate TOS USS Enterprise", some people got defective models, most got thier money taken and a lesson in how the US Bankruptcy system works (don't expect to see your money again).

Or maybe Granada has granted the license to another company, not based in the UK...

Such is my fear for this company. I had a link to that Darth Vader exhibition, its very cool. Nice to know the background, and top marks to MR

This is why I generally don't part with my money for relatively expensive items like this before I actually have the item in my hands and can examine it.

I'm kinda hoping it's eFX if they have. I believe also they have got the Star Wars licence that Corgi lost when MR was absorbed. (I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong here). I would be personally very disappointed if Ironic representations ever produce a 44" Eagle

Yes, but only because things are so hit and miss. To be fair the 23" is not too bad a first attempt at making a larger scale eagle, though a more accurate "foundation" model would have been better. It would be possible for them to do something larger, but more recent attempts at other subjects have not produced the goods by an stretch of the imagination.

Lets hope eFX can have a shot at it. Ultimately, the build your own with the help of Master builders or get them to build it for you methods are still the best way to go at present. Don't forget to add pictures of your build BTW
I confess I'd love to try. If I was able I'd be grabbing every bit from Uncle Bill Jim, Chris, and our aluminium bells man (seniors moment... what's his name ) and Eagle 1, I could. Anyway, I guess we'll see what companies can come up with.

I can't really see another company wading into the market but hey, If they do, they can only do better job? (hopefully they will read these pages).
If I held the license I would consider pulling it from IR for product description reasons... I mean really - replicas with incorrect decals...Just look at a couple of pics for gawds sake IR!

I'm afraid the teased 'bide your time' is just because they (IR) are going to have to dramatically reduce prices to actually sell the things?

I'd love to be wrong!
