Steve,
yes it is sitting ontop of the Mobile.
Plse see the other thread in the UFO chapter.
In the meantime I am a bit disappointed with the model as they
put the paddles wrong. Need to claim with Luca...

It shouldn't be too hard to rectify, but they may need to make the adjustment with all the models . Otherwise a very nice model of a cool UFO

Tony,
the more I look at it the more I get the IR disease:
at first sight it looks ok, but the paddles are wrong as already said.
Additionally the inner arms where the paddles are mounted should have
the same surface than the paddles have but they are plain.
Also the complete model is buildt together with not the best accuracy.
I am disappointed now; paying that much money (the same as with the Lab IR) and getting not a perfect thing.

Guys,
as for the inner arms, I am not sure.
What is right: the inner arms beeing plain or having the same surface
than the outside of the paddles?
There are photos and blueprints around showing either of them?!

Cheers

Oh dear. For that kind of money I'd get a replacement if its not up to scratch.

As discussed in the thread elsewhere here, the arms on the original model, and sometimes the paddles themselves were flat surfaced, and not ribbed, so this model is not as inaccurate as some might think. The various studio models varied tremendously in details, and sometimes in basic shape.

The blueprints published some years ago in SIG are not yet verified as 100% accurate - they may represent one model, but certainly not all of them.

The paddle alignment issue is something that can hopefully be resolved...I know on the kit version of this model I'm building, they will all line up...

Guys,

here are some news:
as for the UFO Amazing Science will build a new and right one for me.
Thanks Luca!!!
But now they also have decided not to offer the buildt model anymore
(mainly due to damages on postal way).
So, here is another update to my collection from today:
The gold Eagle landed today and had a chrome one bringing with him.
Well, I already have a chrome one but as this second one came as package with the gold one at a reasonable price, I needed to get it.
So now I have much bling bling in my collection. Alan Carter would be happy.
Two chrome and one gold Eagle.... :-)

Bling, bling
Cheers

Doing fine thanks! Back at my Ottawa Moonbase and currently awaiting my IR Lab Eagle replacement (via FABgear USA). The initial banana version just saw the light of day for a mere 5 minutes and it’s currently waiting to be shipped to Switzerland for extreme makeover surgery…talk about kissing a frog!

What about you Oliver, are you waiting for a IR Lab Eagle as well? Don’t recall of you mentioning it!...if yes: viel Glück

Cheers!

Jorge, Guys,

yes I also ordered the Lab but it will take a bit of time until I get it.
The next in line to come in will be the Transporter prop replica.
BTW, yesterday I got a complete mint set of Baldassari´s Eagle Blueprints.
Great looking.

Cheers,
