This is a new one on me...

www.thisplanetearth.co.uk

I've only a casual interest in Dr Who but this seems to have some good stuff including full-size, officially licenced Daleks!

There's also an Anderson section:

Navigation isn't instictive but it's probably worth having a dig around.

WOW I'd love to have a Black and Chrome full size Dalek. But then what
do you feed them? Not to mention the whole 'exterminate all visitor's thing'

Have you seen the Dr Who Pages on my web site at all.

Quite a few of the 1/1 scale replica props were originally from This Planet Earth, mainly the Cybermen Helmets etc. This Planet Earth have been around for some considerable time.

The guy who bought them all sent them to me to be refurbished as the finish on the vast majority of them is quite poor, they have saved time and money on materials by not priming any of the pieces before spraying them and the overall finish was 'pock marked', certainly onnthe ones I worked on.

They all look great in the pictures, but on much closer inpsection the finish really lets them down, apparently they have been like this for a few years skimping on the materials to save time and money.

Thats ruined it for me All I can picture now is the paint peeling after
2-3 years. Skipping the primer coat is not an acceptable cheat

Do not get me wrong here, what they sell is usually worth the asking price, especially stuff like the full size Dalek, but as I previously mentioned the finish is not what it should be considering the price.

That being said the guy I do the work for wants the job 'just so' so he sends the replica's to me and I go to work on improving the overall finish for him, the trouble with that though it bumps up the price quite a bit, but he is not that bothered about that side of things provided he is happy with the finished result, he keeps sending stuff my way so he must be happy.

Next job is a head piece from a full size Dalek from the new Dr Who series, I am getting a full size Dalek, but only one piece at a time.
