Default Hornby pylons, captain scarlet

not really a big spot, but still thought you guys may be interested,

I spotted these recentley and recognised them straight away as I used to have them on my old train set years ago

Hornby make a basic cheap easy to assemble plastic kit of 3 electricity pylons for 00/H0 gauge model railways, I have checked old catalogues and they where available back in the 60s

Ive never spotted them in Thunderbirds, but they seem to have been used in some scenes in Captain Scarlet, not sure about Joe 90 as I havent got that yet

in this shot with the side bits removed, my ones ended up like this as they where very delicate and broke easy

and 2 complete ones either side of this Dam

even though its not really an important item, parts from kits could have always been used on models that people want to make replicas of so think its worth noting them

cheers

cheers JD,

theres one on the left of this shot, amongst all the airfix dockside crane and footbridge bits

I remember when I was a kid I used one to make a small replica of the mining platform from Stingray, to go alongside my small matchbox stingray, glued it to a piece of wood and it floated in the bath

cheers

Totally agree JD, that's why it would be great if we could keep bundling them together in a sticky library.

Knight 66 has started here.
