Default Eaglewindow

Thought I would share this:

I had a problem with my PC desk placement. When the evening sun would shine through the window (even with the internal blinds closed) I had a hard time seeing my monitor because of the blinding backlight,....something like this:

So, The OBVIOUS solution, put something over the window to help block out the sun.
Take some foam-board and download a few instrument pics from the internet, and viola!:

No more glare issues.

Pity you don't have double windows, you could have put together the whole cockpit. Very clever.

That is really a wonderful solution! Has anyone ever picked up on the origin?

Thanks for the kind words all.

BTW, why do my pictures show so small on my post?
They are about 17"x12" , Not small.
It is hard to see any detail for eyes as old as mine.

You are hosting your images on flickr. And apparently when copying the image links over here, you are copying the small or medium link.

For instance, concerning the close up pic of your window, you copied this link:
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3281/...b74135d8_m.jpg
which produced this image:

whereas the original image is at this link:
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3281/...dab74135d8.jpg
and produces this image:

The same is true of your screenshot from the show, though the link somehow chosen was not medium, but small:
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3120/...5bbc94ca_s.jpg

whereas the actual image was:
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3120/...6e5bbc94ca.jpg

Hope that helps.

Thanks to BrianS for that lesson on flickr links!

Anubispro, I love how you described the effect of the evening sun shining in, and especially love the screengrab you used to illustrate the sun's effect on you. That was priceless! (Even a couple days after I first viewed this thread, I still laugh out loud.)
Great solution to the problem.

From now on, I will have YOU post my pics !

Seriously thanks for the help. I think I got a handle on it.

...and thanks to everyone else for the kind words.
It was a fun little late-nite project.

Now I need to figure out what image to put in the "starfield".
I was thinking of having a "guest appearance" pop up there every so often.

With the Eagle's view, should you no see the beak sticking way out in front of you?
Like a Ford Capri's bonnet.....(sorry, hood to our across the pond friends)

Why do I always ask stoopid questions?

That's a great idea! Keeps things lively, too... you won't get bored with the 'scenery.'

..I wouldn't imagine so. The pilots sat quite low in the window and the beaks outer walls (the black ones) angle and curve away in both directions.
