Man - us old farts can relive some fun times, and scary and sad - man it sucked being the geek, nerd, brain, jerk, goofball when all you wanted was a freind and not be one of in the crowd. If i knew there were geek sci fi chicks out there at the same time as me - and if I wasnt so shy... But hell - I wouldnt be living this wonderful life I have now!

I still have some of my old super 8 movies - should figure out how to transfer to dvd and post on UUUUTube. NO moonbase Alpha - Just TAVOP-10 (The amazing voyage of Pioner 10)

Wow, just looking at that trailer brought back a few memories (yes, I too was in high school when Star Wars came out )

I’ll ad it to my list of films to see, it looks like a lot of fun.

Yeah, definitely seems familiar, but with a real budget, plenty of room for miniature sets, and professional looking models. I started with super spoofing heroes, simply because I was all too aware of my limitations and lack of money. My first film had a budget of about $2.49 for developing very old and out of date film!

My first serious attempt at special effects in a big way was called Space:2008 a few years later. Had only one "acting" scene, all the rest was model work. I did set up my old alien bubble city outside and landscaped a table. A fun project, and a few thing actually looked pretty good.

My friends Kyle and Mike also made their sci fi and horror films as well, but I think theirs went the way of this film more so than me. My most "outrageous" filming moment was taking the guy who played Captian Garbage to the airport in costume. Don't try that now!

I definitely want to see this film. It brings back many memories of my youth spent drawing storyboards and making props and miniatures for my own film efforts.

Me too - or the British equivalent - remember going to the local Odeon on a free study afternoon with a friend in his dad's MK 3 Cortina to see it. It was suddenly OK to like sci-fi.

And a movie trailer with an Eagle in it ? How cool is that ?

Has this film seen the light of day yet? IMDB lists it as 2007 to coincide with the 30th anniversary of Star Wars.

Plays OK for me, do you have an updated flash player Phil?

As for release, I haven't a clue. I stumbled on the trailer by accident. I hope it hasn't been shelved.

I saw the trailer for this at least two years ago, maybe even three years ago.

I hope to see the actual film one day.

Darn. You mean this isn't actually in the pipe-stream to come out soon? This looks so cool.
