Default TWOTW

For anyone who is interested, Jeff Wayne's The War of the Worlds will be touring again next year- on the 30th Anniversary...

I'd recommend it. It's a great live show.

Great. I missed the last tour, and am going to pull out all the stops to see this. Especially after I lent my DVD special edition of the show to a guy at work I haven't seen all year. (I got the better part of the deal though - he lent me a 5 string electric bass guitar that he hasn't had back yet!)

I know getting Dick or Phil back is an issue

But are any of the other artists from the album; Justin, Julie, David or Chris; appearing at any time in this tour?

My husband and I would love to see this in live performance. Bought the dvd a couple of months ago. Totally awesome. May have to hop over and see.

Justin Hayward is in the tour as is Chris Thompson. Both singing their parts as on the record

So 'Forever Autumn' and 'Thunder Child' will have the right voices - just wish we hadn't lost Phil - his voice was perfect for The Parson, can't think of anyone else who could do it proper

I know what you mean- Russell Watson's performance was weird to get used to at first. All that warbling and stuff. It's not an aria!! He did the 'insane' bit well though.
The last tour had ex-Asia vocalist John Payne. To me, he was just shuffling across the stage like a two-bit Ozzy.

The artilleryman I think is good when you give him the chance. I've got quite used to him in the role now.
