Default 1/35 Work Bee Cargo Train

I have posted pics of my scratchbuilt 1/35 Work Bee Cargo Train here:

This will be kitted in the not too distant future. It won its category at the 1999 IPMS Nationals. I think I got lucky

That's a great looking one! Love the workbee badge - how did you do that?

Very nice! I've got the little one from http://www.federationmodels.com. It's fun to see one with all the interior bits.

After all this time, I just noticed that tak5haka asked about the badge

The badge was mastered using the laser at the office. artwork was done in Corel, "printed" on the laser in two different layers, and then sandwiched together. I gave the "background" recessed areas a texture by also laser cutting those areas out of 60 grit sandpaper, and then spray mounting them inside the badge. A layer of primer was added to use as a sealer, then a RTV mold was made. Real bronze was then poured into the mold. Later, the high areas were buffed out to a high sheen, followed by a sealer coat so that the bronze would not tarnish over time.
