Thumbs up Brand new A380 for the Aussies!!!!

Congrats to our fellow members down-under, she’s a beauty and displays the largest kangaroo of the fleet on its tail!

Check these pics taken recently in Blagnac (Toulouse) during the delivery ceremony. A fantastic play of lights painted the aircraft with a thousand colours! Great visual result, reminds us of the lovely 747 Wunala Dream, also from Qantas.

Happy contrails!

Poor Qantas is having a bad time with small problems in their jets. The safety record is being slightly trouble PERHAPS only perhaps because they have been getting the planes serviced off shore. Hopefully these don't become a large example of the current situation. That's a lot of people gone in one go.

I see the Singapore Airlines ones (I think they have 4) almost daily now from my office, hopefully the Quantas A380 will pay a visit soon.

Unfortunately Qantas A380 1st class doesn't have the same layout as SIA’s…

Great!!!! A plane that is held together by Gaffa tape on the floor
But on the plus side look at how mant beer kegs they have
Problem being in the first class bedroom, what happens to the rose petals and champagne when it encounters an air pocketsick:

So you may know this already but those "kegs" hold water and are installed during flight certification testing. The water simulates people and can be pumped around the aircraft to simulate people walking around and the CG changes.

Absolutely right - she's done nothing wrong. I have some experience of working under Ms Nixon and I believe she's a very principled woman. But - mentioning no names - she's made some enemies who are keen to make her life difficult.

In any case, she's offered to pay back the cost of the trip. Which she shouldn't have to, but ....
