Default Big Ben Strikes Again - Transporter Truck

My son was dead keen to make the transporter truck from Captain Scalet's "Big Ben Strikes Again". I left him to it, with the only advice being plan what you want to do, make mistakes on paper.
-------------
This is a guide to show you how I made the transporters truck from the Captain Scarlet episode “Big Ben Strikes Again.”

The Transporter truck has reappeared in Captain Scarlet two more times. It was next seen in Expo 2068 and The Launching. As far as I know these are the only two other occasions that I’ve seen them in.

The first step was to make it all out of balsa wood. I began by using the block of balsa wood and crafting the cabin with a Stanley knife.

Then I painted it. Next I added on the tiny details like the light (made out of plastic pipes), the siren on the top (half of a Warhammer Tau tracking system) and the horns on the top (half of a Warhammer Tau gun).

The truck was also in Joe 90 - notably the episode 'Hijacked'.

Default The Next Stage

The next job was to make the trailer, I used balsa wood to create it. First I cut for lengths of thin balsa wood piece, each the same length. Then I glued them together, as you can see in the picture below. Lastly I painted it.

The next step was to connect it to the cabin. Using balsa wood I was able to stick the rectangular piece of balsa wood into the trailer section.
