Janeway was a seven of ten.

Beta Cloud is a great one to watch, because my kids can't believe it's Darth Vader in the suit!!

Bringers of Wonder scared the hell out of me when I was 9.

Watch "The Dorcons" with any Trek fan and watch them squirm when the Dorcon Queen appears on the Alphan big screen and says, "Resistance is futile!", about 12 years before the Borg!

I enjoy the Dorcons 'cause Patrick Troughton is in it...

I never thought The Dorcons was a bad episode, and it gave a lot of fodder for future episodes.
Sure, I was 9 when I saw it, and I had to go to church and miss the last 15 minutes and I had to wait nearly 30 years to see what I finally missed....

Oh, my. Did they not rerun them on the station that it aired? I was lucky as the first runs aired twice, and another station in my city picked up the second run syndication. So I saw them all at least four times. And then, in the early 80s, it disappeared from my city. It would be YEARS until I saw the unedited versions again. During the program's absence from my life, Doctor Who took its' place...

No, they didn't rerun them. they took to rerunning Y1, then it dissappeared from my life. Only once in the 80s, a Canadian station aired Cosmic Princess, and I finally got to see The Metamorph because I never saw that one either and never saw where they got Maya.

It didn't get repeated in the UK, except possibly the once, I think. I seem to remember hearing something about Landau and Bain getting the better deal. The contracts included syndication clauses, but it only ever went to syndication in the US. The US actors got more money each time it was shown, whilst in the UK it wasn't repeated for something like 20 years or more, so got nothing in that time.

If I recall correctly, that is.

Speaking of Janeway, has anyone seen the original "The Day the Earth Stood Still" movie?

I watched it last night and was struck at the resemblence of the lead actress (Patricia Neal), and Kate Mulgrew. They even have the same husky voice. But it seems they aren't related.
