Darn...missed the deadline...I spent hours getting a fully working Camouflage Stealth pod but it didn't show up in photographs.

The results don't show until you vote (or if you click 'View Results' just below the poll).

So, the only way you can be biased is if you want to be!

Having reviewed them all again today, I think there's a clear winner - by a mile!

Well Pod 22 takes an early lead.....but with only 10% of the possible votes cast it's still wide open.

I do like the Hov-Pod although I suggest Alpha taste extra special care in exploring a watery planet...they might bump into Kevin Costner.

Hey, I liked Waterworld.

To borrow a quote from a different film, "There can be only one!"

Just to get really off-topic, but related to Highlander, there's a bumper sticker that says "Lowlander: there can be a few."

I liked it too, mostly because of it's setting. You see, at the time it premiered a friend and I were on a three year around-the-world cruise in our 27-foot yacht. We went to see the film with some other cruisers (I don't remember in which port) and had a great time when we discovered that the good guys were sailing and the the bad guys were motoring...! Also Kevin's refusal to live on land because "it doesn't move right" was retold for a long among the cruising community.

Here's my boat in the Bahamas. It's in Northern Ireland now because we sold it there after barely making it across from Canada (we lost the mast in a storm somewhere south of Iceland).

Sorry about going off-topic. I'll justify this post a little by saying that I have now cast my vote. It was not easy.

You have a point here CR... your Connpods could act as a form to separate different PMH configurations, or to make junctions between them (you could now develope a cross form Connpod)
Hurry up, you never know when Operation Exodus will start! (Alphans will need living quarters in their new home planet)

According to my clock is 00:08 and the Pod U Like contest is all over...you would have thought there would have been some reminder over the last week to us all to make sure we cast a vote.

Can I be the first to congratulate the winners and all entrants on the high level of imagination and skill in their designs. To quote the young Mr Grace...you've all done very well!

Thanks to our Commander for all the effort with organizing the contest, prizes and voting. Well done.

It's all been very enjoyable.

Wouldn't it be marvellous if it was possible to display all the contest entries in an exhibition...?

/Christopher

PS. And the hand-clapping picture itself is worth an extra .

Now that everything's done & the dust is settled, I want to mention that I liked the Rainbow Rocket made by Eagletwo's six year old daughter. I like the fact that she had an idea in her head and went about completing it the way she wanted, and created something which looks great in a really dazzling way. It's a reminder about what this contest was partially about, and what all contests should keep in mind: having FUN!
