Default Sci Fi that isnt set in Space

wondering if we could get an idea of any Science fiction programmes or films, that dont have Space as a theme.

it was one of the reasons I loved Thunderbirds as it wasnt really a space type programme, most of it was set on earth but futuristic.

Ive never really been a huge fan of space type programmes, found them a bit boring or I did when I was a kid anyway.

so what can we think of thats set in the future, or futursitic, but not set in space.

I know Doomsday. I just really like the half of UFO that is set on the then future earth, the earth based scenes are thoroughly enjoyable.

That's not the one I was thinking of. From memory - it's at least 20 years since I saw it and only once. It was a short (50 mins or so) film with I think an unknown actor and I thought it was a really intelligent bit of science fiction. It wasn't as long as a day he kept repeating which meant he couldn't do much. He shoots himself in the end, but that still doesn't get him out of it.

I think it is this twenty-five minute 1990 film '12:01 PM'.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098962/

The other is 1993 film '12:01' with Martin Landau.

Thanks, Steve. That sounds like it. Didn't know it was Kurtwood Smith - or at least I hadn't heard of him then.

As one of the comments says, it is rather frightening or at least I found the whole idea disconcerting, especially as he couldn't even commit suicide.

You're welcome Keith, it was like a nightmare version of 'Groundhog Day'.
