The Halifax have been responsible for some piss poor adverts over the years (the radio station ones make me cringe) and I'm not sure I'm liking the current batch of using old TV show characters interacting with them, but they are better that what was before ... but Penny's voice is dreadful!

Parker and Lady Penelope will also feature in branch, on outdoor posters and in online advertising. Other characters from the series will appear on social media, including top tips for saving from Brains aimed at encouraging young people to save.

The advert was produced with the assistance of the team behind the Thunderbirds 1965 project, with new lines being recorded by veteran voice artist David Graham.

Come to think of it, seems a bit ironic using Parker to advertise a bank, considering his early career ...

I agree.
The character's dialogue was not 'Halifax specific', and could have used original dialogue from the actual show, or the mini albums...

Doon Mackihan could do a Penelope voice quite easily I think.

I feel a bit bad now about criticizing the Penny voice - apparently it was done by Dee Anderson, Syilva Anderson's daughter!

And a little more about the crew who made the adverts and brought you the three new episodes titled Thunderbirds 1965, this is a good insight documentary.

Why? If its not a good voice, its not a good voice no matter who she's related to!
