Default Wrecked Eagle

This is yet another reworking of my first mpc eagle. I got it back in '75, and of course it has been trashed repeated times since then.

Eventually, I'd like to make up an MPC that isn't so "Carter-esque"

Wow. I wish the show had shown more images like this.

A quick question... is the image flipped right for left, or do some of the tiny figures have their right sleeves colored? Or... is it just me?? (emoticon with seeing guide dog...)

We're in a hold pattern courtesy of a two day blizzard followed by an ice storm. In other words, just too darn cold to work in the garage! We're in a warming trend, so now I just have to find the mutual time off as I'm back to work from my January sabbatical and erstwhile son is beavering away in school. But never fear... Eagle 8 will yet launch.

Well, I'm torn about saying what it is for two reasons. One is that I don't think I've really seen anyone do anything quite like what I'm thinking of -- and I want to be the one to do it. The other is that I'll probably never actually be able to accomplish what I'm thinking, anyway. Give me a few days and I'll see what I can do, though.

It's something along the lines of yours -- but earlier in the process. Yes, that's pretty vague.

I need a hangar, too. That's what really makes yours work.

Well, we were certainly doing a pretty good imitation of Ultima Thule there for a few weeks. Now we're in the midst of Ultima Melt-y.

We're up to our Ultimas in Thule today. Expecting 10-15 inches of snow in the next two days. Saw 5 cars in the ditch on my way to work and it's only been snowing for an hour.

We've got the southern part of the storm here with some areas in Omaha, NE already at 10 inches in less then 12 hours. There's about 6 or 7 inches on the ground where I am. I hope the predictions about the weekend being better hold out as I need to fly my Grumman AA5 Traveler airplane to Montana sometime this next week in order for a customer who wants to buy it to take a look at it. As such, I really don't feel like doing it in a variation of Ultima Thule or Hoth's environment.

That's a really nice diorama Doon, beautiful work. Do you actually make the shaped walls or can it be bought?

holy wow! (yeah I know that sounds corny)

Cant believe what I am looking at! That is SO cool.
Eagle hangar bay with various bits of kit. Nice.

No way in hell my stuff would ever come up to that standard.
Wouldn't even try to compete!

Was trying to make a Space1999 type of fan spoof thingy starring some beanies, but having second thoughts now cause my modelling sucks.

Well done- that is amazing. I want one!!!

I know how you feel Stu73, but now you've told us about it you'll have to do it. So what if we aren't as good as most of these amazing modelers...we can have fun and learn stuff as well...what do you mean by beanies by the way?
