Default Now available: 3D printed Dinky Eagle pods

Over the past few years I've been using my 3D printers to produce many various scale props and upgrades for the various scale Eagles. Lately my focus has been on augmenting the wonderful Dinky Eagles. The transport pod it came with was, considering the toy-like structure of the door, very nice, but the strange (but fun to play with) Freighter pod always confused me.

Anyway, I knew there were other pods, so I decided to make them with my 3D printing tools. As many of you know, I have some items on Shapeways (you buy from them, they print and ship, I get a TINY cut, but it has made a lot of collectors happy.)

About a month or so ago I opened an ETSY store to sell my own 3D printed pods (I print and construct and ship).

I started out with four pods:
- VIP Pod
- Winch Pod with Winch housing
- Pallet Pod with six canisters
- Laboratory Pod with Spine Booster

Currently there are also:
- Rescue Pod
- Heavy Lift Boosters - which you can attach to existing transport pod - (But please don't use permanent glue on a vintage gem!)
- Heavy Lift Boosters with Pod - (solves that problem!)
- Moon Buggy Transport Pod - my first, and NOT my only ORIGINAL idea for a pod - complete with lowering ramps and six moon buggies

And coming soon:
- Nuke mines and claw
- Winch head (which will be added to the WInch pod)
- Liquid Nitrogen Tanker (another original)
- Cargo Pod (another original which works nicely with a new Matchbox HEMTT truck that's on shelves now.)

You can find my store here

These look great!

How about a replacement beak that's more correct?

I have just announced (on facebook last night) my new Replacement/Enhancement project on Shapeways, where I'm beginning to make available various replacement parts.

I'm focusing on the spine, the jets, various bits, but I have no plans to change the nose of the Eagle.

Is there a problem with accuracy on the Dinky cockpit? I quite like it... I know a lot of that model is inaccurate (the spine!) but the beak never struck me as off...
