Mars Base Delta was from another unofficial fan-produced work, featuring (IIRC) a Dust Buggy and a spacesuit that looked like slightly modified versions of the Moon Buggy & Alpha spacesuits. It also had a new spacecraft called the Dove, which looked vaguely like a truncated, podless Eagle. I stress vaguely, by the way. Still had that "this is an Earth ship" feel to it, but more or less something we'd have seen in Season 2. The whole fan-produced thing was supposed to show what survivors on Earth, or I guess more specifically Mars, produced after the Breakaway. (Before Breakaway=BB, After Breakaway=AB. Hmm... naw, that's kind of lame.)

Mars Station Delta was in a 62 page fan booklet called The Earth Command Technical Guide by Jeff Ruble, published back in 1988 and "in the style of" the Technical Notebook.
It's the sort of thing fans did before dvds, the internet, pod-u-like contests etc...

Since I bumped the other "spacedock" thread, I thought I'd do the same here, plus, I'm going to add links to all the spacedock screencaps & model shots here (as I've been doing on other threads for various models). Not trying to flog a dead horse, but rather just trying to tidy up all references in one post for everyone's reference.
So, here goes...

I hit submit before getting to the links... give me several minutes or so to sort it out & edit!
(long pause) Make it another hour or so... I'm being distracted by a recording of the F1 Grand Prix at Monza from a couple weeks back. (Sorry!)

much later, after the race...
So, NOW, here goes...

I know of three other spacedock photos in magazines. One was in an old issue of Starlog, and two were in issue #39 of Sci-fi & Fantasy Models International. Sorry, but I've been unable to find any of those pics on the Internet.

The Prendergrast shots give an angle where you can really appreciate that an Enterprise'e main disc was inverted for the landing pad. For spme reason, that really tickles my sense of the perverse.

Default Centaur Space Dock Blueprint

Hey All

Here is a link to one of several blueprint drawings of the "Centaur Spacestation" as shown in Keith Youngs Moonbase Alpha Technical Manual -

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/c...rSpaceDock.jpg

Hope this is useful?
I also have the Blueprints for The Falcon if anyone is interested?

Thanks I have the top and front view of the spacedock but size is what I am after. Here is the probe next to the spacedock. It looks like the dock is two times to big. But then the eagle will not fit.

Thanks. I look at the image and scaled it to fit my model and mine to too small.
This is what I based it on:
and this:

so I wonder which is correct.

I don't know if this will help, but I have always thought the Space Dock as shown in Dragons Domain was out of scale.

http://www.space1999.net/~catacombs/...dd/spdd064.jpg

Look at the command module on the docked Ultra Probe, then look at the approaching Eagle and the Eagle Docking Pad. No matter how I do the math, even accounting for the Ultra Probe being closer to 'the camera', I think that the Eagle Docking Pad is way too small, or they are portraying the Ultra Probe as being too large.

I redid the dock and made the scale for the probe. I had to enlarge the pad for a eagle by 25%.

this is what it looks like now:

Anyone know where the original model is these days?
I know I saw it in LA in the mid 90's (I might have some pics somewhere)
Always wanted to build a replica and if Airfix do a reissue, it'll be fairly quick and easy.

Yes, Martin Willey owns it. There are photos on the Catacombs site.

Yes. That would be great

Here is my Spacedock made for Orbiter. Scaled so an eagle will fit on the pad. Of course the issue is the Ultraprobe arms.

I guess the easy solution would be to scale down the docking tubes on all 4 arms. So that the metaprobe and hawk don't get swallow up by the tubes.

gattispilot, the Eagle, Meta Probe and Ultra Probe look accurate in scale to the Spacedock, just adjust the docking tube scale.
