Default PE 23" eagle!

I've FINALLY got that PE 23" eagle I wanted! came without instructions though: does the service module separate? Because it doesn't look like it does.

Nicely huge and impressive, although a bit disappointing in some ways: the plain grey plastic foot pads and unplated engine bells are a bit cheap looking for such a high priced item.

Received my Corgi 50th Anniversary FAB1 diecast today; same essentially same tooling as 40th, but they've painted Penny's clothes a diff colour! Just gotta wait for the TB2's and the all new TB1 & 3 combo sets now ...

Got this recently.
Bought that used from a well known collector.
Does anyone know who made it?
Cheers
Oliver

Default Boatie The Bookworm Strikes Again!

Yep, once again, little Boatie has been shopping...

What's that faint sound of tapping on my kitchen door, waking me up from a nap? Could it be? I thought...mailman usually comes around mid-late-aftn...

There was, indeed, a box on the porch! Got the scissors and very carefully opened it (they're like puzzle-boxes); revealing my newest online acquisition: the slipcased edition of Filmed in Supermarionation...!

Now, I'd heard about this book but despaired of ever being able to obtain it over here ; so, when news of this updated edition hit my e-mail last wk, of course I pounced . Boy, it got here fast - do TB2 and Royal Mail (to say nothing of the US Postal Service) have a reciprocity agreement, we wonder? Hmm...

Well - already, it passes what, for me, is the test of a great book - interesting, wherever it falls open. I'm just delighted, and so looking forward to devouring it in depth!

Just picked up the Corgi TB1&TB3 set. I only really got them to keep my Corgi Anderson collection up to date. They aren't really very good. Not much bigger than the Matchbox ones but nowhere near as good a profile. TB1 has moveable wings and is marginally better than TB3.

Default Oh the shame!!!!!

Odd as it may sound I've never seen an episode of Fireball XL5... well not that I remember anyway, so we'll be fixing that over the next couple of weeks.

I see a large scratch building project somewhere in my future

UFO Blu-Ray boxset from Network! I was gonna wait til it dropped in price, from its initial pre-buy, but I had to have it in the end! Although I can't remember buying a boxset where the accompanying book took up more space that the discs! Still, my weekend viewing sorted

My work colleague alerted me to the fact that the commerative Thundebirds "Day Of Disaster" 500 Limited Edition watch that Zavvi released last year and wanted 79.99, is now 29.99. He ordered one, and got the number 255, so I guess plenty left! Mine's on its way

Region A Blu-ray boxset of Thunderbirds! Bought a multi-region blu-ray player over Xmas, with one of the reasons being to get this version of the series, not the UK twatted version. Might watch Trapped In The sky tonight!

A lovely looking very rare chrome Ed Straker's car from Italy, in great condition :-))
Has anyone else seen any of these? I've only come across a couple on the internet.
