Really?) and didn't listen to their customers.

What if they'd continued with a 1/24- 1/18 Thunderbirds range or a SID, Meta probe etc etc etc?

Even though I was never interested in Stingray, Fireball XL5 or Supercar to be fair to PE I suppose they thought those would have a good following as well as Space 1999 etc. I don't know how well they sold but I get the impression from reading different forums that people wanted more Space 1999 and UFO stuff.

Other Space 1999 diecasts would have been great as well as UFO subjects but PE would need to 'find' a suitable donor garage kit to 'recast' (or retool as it were, and I feel Airfix (Hornby now?) might sue the pants off them for 'retooling' their Hawk).

There is only so many Warp / UNCL garage kits to bootleg although I am surprised they didn't 'retool' any of the SAW kits... I'm glad they didn't for Jim's sake.

Don't get me wrong I'm glad PE issued the Interceptor and saucer but I know one thing - I wish PE hadn't "appeared" to have copied the old vacform and white metal Shed UFO saucer. Because that was quite innacurate PE's turned out innacurate too.

There isn't a diecast hawk, I was just using conjecture as to what would have happened if PE tried to retool the Airfix one.

Fair point... it was badly written.

I meant to say -

"I feel Airfix (Hornby now?) might sue the pants off them IF THEY 'retoolED' their Hawk".

Took a trip to Liverpools Modelzone to try my luck with the mobiles and managed to snag SHADO Control version . Just need SHADO 2 to complete the set now . Hopefully another trip to the Trafford Centre next week should sort that out .

If you have PayPal or other credit cards to use to pay for them,
it's only fair to warn you that Modelzone does not accept IPMOs.
