Default CENTURY 21 TOYS BOX ART

I'm a big fan of Century 21 and JR21 plastic toys from the likes of Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet etc and especially Project SWORD. I've done quite a lot of digging into the origins of the box art of SWORD toys but the names of the C21/JR21 artists completely elude me. Has anybody got any idea who the artists were over at Century 21 toys doing the box art? One idea is that TV21 artists were involved or indeed the cover artists of the Thunderbirds paperbacks in the 60's? Any help would be gratefully recieved

great question but I've no idea of the answer

I love the box designs but I'm not so keen on the actual paintings - Mike Noble would have done a better job I think, he seemed to get the feel of the vehicles really well

Default Stingray Art

You might find this page on the fabulous Gerry Anderson Complete Comics History of use as the cover artists are named.

Thanks Paul for the link, such a good site. I have found out that the artist is Selby Donnison which
is fabulous. Now to find out more about Selby! Doesnt seem a lot survived from that period such a shame
as the artwork in most cases is spectacular.
