Just clicked on the Crablogger picture to get a larger version and noticed this

"Copyright for this lot is retained by the vendor"

Sneaky! But who actually owns the copyright?

Moon ferry description!

"The High Altitude Interceptor was a second line defence vehicle that would cruise in a mothership cocoon and would leave the cocoon to chase alien craft.."

What!?!?

Something I can see better now is that the UFO Moon ferry was supposed to have two cockpits where the thruster pods are now and not the one on top!

Hmmm... didn't notice the Doppleganger spacesuit drawing. Wonder if there is more stuff for a later auction?!

The Doppleganger art is lumped together in one lot of 9, strangely, because if you divide the 2 grand estimate by 9 this is the nearest thing to a good deal. Methinks there are people involved in the auction with a few ``gaps` in their knowledge of the subject. 24000 for a Mckinnon Saunders NCS bust????!!!!!????

Are the Derek Meddings pictures in the auction well known?

I've never seen them before but then I don't have that many books on the subject.

Interesting stuff! It's good that there is a zoom function as well

The Skydiver detail picture seems to show that a lot of the interior of Sky 1 is taken up just to provide a route for the pilots seat to get to the cockpit!

Yes, they`re well known, they`ve been displayed at various events over the years by Derek`s family, and published in several books.

Since when has a boxed Corgi Yellow Submarine been worth 650 to 850?

That gondola picture is actually the gondola of Skyship 1, not from Hudson Hawk. And I'm sorry, 16,000 - 18,000 for a plaster concept head of Captain Scarlet for the new CGI series. In your dreams. The complete original 60's puppet would be going for that sort of price.

21st Century Visions by Derek Meddings is a good place to start. Fanderson published a series of `design files` a few years back which also featured a lot of the art, and still turn up on ebay.
Just wondering what Bonhams would have valued our model room as worth at Sector 25 ???!!!??? We had 28 NCS heads to start with, then Mike`s art, then all our puppets and models....gulp!

Thanks for the tips Chris

I reckon Bonhams would have been standing in a pool of greed induced drool if they'd been to Sector 25

Is there really any collector who has that sort of money to spent of these types of items?

What i cannot understand is that I have e-mailed Fanderson twice about this and still they are not reporting such a major event on their website.

Well are the prices that bad? How much did the original Captain Scarlet end title paintings go for?

Interesting stuff throughout the category, but the prices seem absurd. Unless, of course, they get them...
