Maybe Freedom city perhaps

If it was Grey Primer it would be the Holts variety (still available in indie car repair shops), I think seeing it's Satin it could well be Humbrol 128 which was available as a can back in the day.
The other colours are definitely Humbrol (will get numbers)...
Looks like the model has had a misting of Humbrol 64 over the 128?

Ok rumaged through the tinlet draw and I think you are looking at the following humbrol numbers...
Main colour: satin 128 or maybe 129.
Overspray colours: Satin 123.
Detail colours: Matt 26 and 79 with metallic 11.
The yellow is maybe 3m automotive detail tape, but matt 74 lemon is pretty close.

So, my search for a suitable spray can match for "Humbrol 128" came to nowt.
Figuring i've tried to be as accurate as possible on this build that i can't compromise now, i've bitten the bullet, bought a couple of cans of the stuff and the biggest, softest brush i could, taken a deep breath and hand painted it.
Its turned out okay, with no streak marks or lines at all.
Very glad i did - its considerably lighter than leaving it in the grey primer would've been. But its a struggle to get used to a satin finish ship.

With the Hovercraft decals kindly donated by Phil, the Ore Carrier is nearly done.
The final hurdle looks to be the "45"'s that are to the rear of the tanks - its looking very likely that they're Letraset dry rub numbers, or maybe they're kit decals.
Either way, i'll be darned if i can narrow the search down.
So i'll be sticking the engine section on next and then i'll be weathering.
It looks to me that Mat Irvine's clock was ticking when he made the original as it seems that he's kept it to some squirts of black.
I'm not going that route, but rather the pastels one.
And, when i do get me some 45's, i'll put them on then.

Right, the engine has been put on the Ore Carrier and weathering done.
As the ship looks to be only slightly smaller than the Nova Queen that it crashes into, and that craft holds 4,000 passengers, its a pretty hefty-sized one.
So therefore weathering has got to be pretty small.
So i've left it to just some basic dark shading with pastels around edges etc.
That's it almost done - last thing is to put on the two "45"'s at the rear of the tanks, the search continues for a match and may take a while, so i'm resting this project now.

Many thanks for the great build and well done for the attention to detail MangaMax. Checking out the original and this build, I think you'll find your's is far more detailed than the original ever was.

I've got most of the assembly for this one and I love the little R2D2 bits on the side of the Christmas tree balls at the front. That said, it's only modeller's like us who would notice, most people would completely miss that.

Very inspiring and I'll have to pull out my kit and start looking into doing a build as well. I've been side tracked by the fantastic Ban Dai Star Wars kits that have been coming out(that's my excuse and if you check them out, I'm sure you'll agree it's justified).

Cheers!
And, yup, i've been lured into the world of Bandai Star Wars kits - am busy building the 1/48th Snowspeeder.
Well up there with Fine Molds for quality and accuracy.

Absolutely, I haven't built my Snowspeeder yet but I'm loving the fact I have a model of this that fits the same scale as my 1/48 aircraft collection. Really puts the size into perspective. Please do share some shots of it(I'd imagine in the Star Wars section of the forum of course).
