Default Dinky colours

It has always been a mystery as to why the Dinky Shado Interceptor was painted orange and metallic lime green. These colours were also used on their roadsweeper. Could there be a connection?

I'm always amazed at the vehicles and set ups you create, great stuff.
As to the Interceptor paint colour yes it was a strange paint scheme.

Thanks very much. Dinky seem to have often chosen odd (or some would say 'wrong') colours.

Default (Color) Wheel of (Mis)Fortune...

Could it be, perhaps, that someone...somewhere...felt compelled to repent, after all of those BLUE Thunderbird 2s?

(And, yes, I went scurrying off to take a look at my own Dinky Interceptor, before writing this... )

I think they just had a job lot of paint and rather than splash out on getting the correct colour, they used what they had in stock. Pity, because when you buy a die cast Dinky model of, say, the Eagle Transporter you want it to be the same colour as it is on the TV program.
