Orange is a good safety color- Biohazard signs at the hospital I visit are all printed in that color.
It is an alert color- red being reserved for active danger. If they made things blue or green instead you would just feel good about things and start to ignore them.

If you had to choose a color besides orange to use for an attention grabbing alert color which would you choose? (remember Red is reserved for critical danger already).

Are you seriously saying that space pajamas in primary colors aren't cool?

Next you'll be saying you don't wear leisure suits.

Pesonally, I find nylon coverlalls, yellow yachting boots and a generic plastic safety helmet to be a rocking look at the weekend. But let's just keep that between ourselves though.

Orange goes well with other warm colours like yellow and red. These also appeared frequently. Taken together, the warm colour palette gives a visual consistency to the show.
