Default Docking Tunnel Pod

Hi guys,

I've finished my Docking Tunnel Pod and thought I share it with you. Sorry about the bad quality of the images.
The Tunnel is - just as in the series - extendable.

Nicely done Oliver! The docking tube is beautifully detailed and it looks exactly like the one seen on screen!
I assume that you’ve cut-out the pod door as to allow the tube to slide, right?
Whatever was the solution, it just looks amazing!

That is a great idea. I just have mine sitting between the two. Never thought of it moving in and out of the pod.

Now you've gone and done it...

I've got to go and buy yet another PE Eagle to do this myself now

Very nice job...I'd be very interested to see the opened up pod to see just how you've mounted this...instructions would be even better !

It works very simple:

Basically it is a plastic pipe sliding on a pole. The pole has been glued to the inner side of the pod - opposite to the open door.
Around the plastic pipe I've build the Tunnel.
The door is a cast I took off the pod.
The shading of the tunnel is one big water decal.

Thanks for the comments ...

Awesome work, Oliver!!!

Have you thought of producing an add-on kit? I'd be curious to see the decals you have made ...very convincing to mee!

And was it hard to drill out the door?

Thanks!
