Been looking through the Centurion again:

On Map 2, the Fruehauf parts (no.6) are mounted on top of 1/25 Centurion parts D10 and D16. Also, no.42 and 43 are the same part, correctly id'd as a hatch from the 1/48 Bandai Jagd Tiger (Jagdpanzer VI).

On Maps 2 & 3, no.4 and 5 are one part from the Centurion. It sits over what looks like two half-cylindrical parts in black plastic. These need their own numbering, and I haven't yet seen them id'd.

I mentioned 4 & 5 being the same in my post above but was totally clueless about the D10 and D16...as well as the two half-cylinders. Didn't even see those! Thanks!

JD, no need to apologize and I didn't mean to sound like an ass.

I've been trying to id those cylinders and have looked through many kits and scans with no luck. We know that the Aurora M8 was used but what version? I'm going to take a wild guess. Does anyone have good pictures of the M8 Munitions Carrier with 8" Howitzer? I'm trying to see if they were cut down versions of the hydraulic arms.

Anyone?

I have only a few pics of the M8 kit gleaned from the net, but if these are the parts you mean I don't think it's them.

My bad! Those scans from StudioScale.com are of the Carrier only....I am correct, right? I meant the hydraulic arms from the 8" Howitzer that also came boxed with the M8 Munitions Carrier.

Same here. I'm wondering if it's a hubcap piece from the Kubelwagen kit used on the side rails. It's so similar to the pieces in the 222 and 223 that 'small German armoured car' kit seems a good lead...

Here's a lead on some major hatch details:

The dark green pieces in the second pic are from the UPC/Lifelike Honest John. They're the side body/fender pieces that flank the front wheels. They're not a match for the pieces beside the Bandai hatch on the EP, but they're so close that we have to be looking for similar pieces from a slightly larger kit. The Honest John is 1/40th scale, so I expect we're after a 1/35th truck.

Hey JD that is an awsome lead. I have constructed my base structure yesterday. I will post pics tonight.
Added:
Your definately right about a truck siding & 1/35 would be pretty much on the money aswell. I have some old Peerless Max's i will have a look at this afternoon.
Those parts are significant finds if we can track them down.
