Default Original DW, Hedin's gun

Hi guys,

Here's Hedin's (Michael Gough) staser from the Doctor Who story Ark of Infinety.
It's quite an odd design, definitely made to be used in the right hand.
It has space for a flash bulb to light up the clear rod.
The handle is made from some kind of toy gun.
I don't know who originaly made this one

Hope you enjoy.

looks uncomfortable to hold, though.

These pictures are magnificent. I am part way through building a replica of this gun. Any idea as to what the little details arranged in the semi circle on the handle are, I almost but not quite recognize them?

Thanks Kevin
As regards the bits on the handle, Ive no idea, they are not EMA though.
The Perspex rod goes right the way through, but half of it sprayed green and the flash bulb fitted in the end.

btw, what gun handle are you using ?

Thanks. I've scratchbuilt the handle. I'm not going to have mine light up. I'll have to scratchbuild those bits.

Looks like the base gun might have been a Luger.

Yep, I suspect it was a toy or model gun, but in today's ultra safe world you can't buy toy guns, only real ones!

Kev, you would be surprised...check this out on my first Ebay search...the clip may not be removable on the toy so you would have to cut out the bottom of the grip to get the correct shape. The Hedin gun is also based on a Luger grip but without the clip in place.

Hah! Who'd have thought it? Thanks for that, I have now built the handle. Mind you, a Gallifreyan water pistol would've been neat!
