Has anyone worked out what the speaker-like thing is from? That is the only stumbling point I have on this build.

I don't think so, but Its a simple enough piece to replicate.

I have just been checking before going ahead and replicating one - always prefer to use the parts that were used on the original prop if I can.

I can understand that. For me half the fun is replicating the parts yourself. I hope you find out what was used.
